But here's the question… Can it be hot in space?
Yes, this idea may seem strange or even impossible. After all, everyone knows that space is a cold and lifeless place, where the temperature can be compared to absolute zero. However, certain aspects and conditions need to be taken into account that can create the illusion of heat in space.
Space itself is a vacuum, where there are no particles capable of transferring heat. Thus, the heat that we associate with heat transfer between objects disappears in this case. However, during solar flares or close encounters with a star, it is possible to experience high temperatures.
Solar flares are bursts of energy from the Sun that can significantly increase the temperature in the nearby regions of space. In such cases, astronauts or spacecraft may feel heat caused by intense electromagnetic radiation.
In addition, spacecraft, such as Mars rovers or satellites, can experience heating due to directed solar radiation. The emitting surface can have a high temperature, which in turn leads to significant heating of the spacecraft itself.
It is also worth noting that Earth's atmosphere modifies our perception of the sensation of heat. In space, however, warmth can only be felt through direct contact with a heated object.
Therefore, although it cannot be hot in space under normal conditions, there are certain situations where a person or objects may experience the sensation of heat. But overall, coldness is inherent to the space environment and is its characteristic.
